Design

We are designing more and more gardens in the Hudson Valley and are having great fun working with clients who appreciate artful planting. Andrew Beckman and Bob Hyland are trained as landscape architects and horticulturists with 45 years of combined garden design and maintenance experience. Gardening is our way of life.

• Our connections in the gardening world and travel to public and private gardens across the country provide us with great inspiration and resources. We try to push garden boundaries.

Our Services:

• Travel to your garden to assess existing conditions and offer planting ideas, within a 35-mile radius of Hudson, New York. We consider/accept extra-ordinary garden design projects beyond  our region July-August & October-November (outside our busy nursery season), so please inquire.
• Design  garden beds and borders, sketch simple planting plans, and prepare rough cost estimates.
• Develop long-range garden master plans – site garden features, link spaces, make transitions, etc.
• Source and supply plants for your garden needs through Loomis Creek Nursery.
• Provide clients with referrals for garden installation and maintenance.

Our Fees:

• 1-hour on-site consultation = $125
• Additional design time billed at $75/hr after initial consultation
• Additional travel time billed at $37.50/hr

Our Schedule:

• We offer garden consultations on Sundays and Mondays, March thru October.
• Our schedule is often filled from April-June; we encourage you to book early and be flexible.
